Arbor Day Plant Give-away
Georgia celebrates Arbor Day on the third Friday of February to coincide with the regional season for planting. We partner with the Georgia Forestry Commission to host the annual free seedling giveaway at various sites throughout the county.
Spring Plant Sale
This is our opportunity to sell plants, connect with the community, and answer your questions. Most of the plants we sell are grown by Henry County Master Gardeners. Our plant sale will be held on April 5, 2025. We are also planning for a fall plant sale in 2025!
The Gardens at Nolan House
The Nolan House is located at Heritage Park, and includes a historical garden with 19th century plantings, as well as woodland and herb gardens. Visitors can enjoy, be inspired, and learn through nature by exploring this beautiful area of Henry County.
MG Sprouts
MG Sprouts is a horticultural program created for children ages 6 to 8. Master Gardener volunteers lead sessions that include reading a garden-related story and exploring the world of plants through hands-on horticulture and activities.

Lowe's Plant Clinics
Henry County Master Gardeners will answer garden related questions for customers at the Lowe's in Stockbridge, on Highway 138.

Clinics are held during the growing season, one Saturday each month.
Dates for 2025 are:
April 12, May 10, June 14,
July 12, and Sept. 13,
Clinics will last from
9:00 am until noon.
Summer Farmer's Market
and Plant Sale
Master Gardeners sell plants and provide horticultural guidance to the community at the Summer Farmer's Market.

The Farmer's Market is held at Heritage Park in McDonough on Thursdays from
June until August,
from 10am until 2pm.
